Also intentionally sewn together where the cord comes down to the handle and meets at the guard knot. Ive never seen this before but im assuming it was to keep the mend together and stop the cord from riding around on the dagger grip. Doesn’t look like much, but if you are familiar with how these go on, you should be able to sneak it on the guard without too much trouble and not undo the stitch.
